svg animation impacts performance

Hi.

I'm facing some svg spinning performance issues on web browsers after the upgrade to High Sierra.

Every time an svg animation occurs the process CPU fires up 30-40% (just one svg spinning for loading).

Most of the times Safari won't even perform the animations but the process CPU will fire up to 90-100%.

Here is an example of a site that shows this issues (do a mouse over on the images to perform the animation):

Remember to test it with other browsers besides Safari or you will not even see the animations...

I'm running a

  • MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014)
  • 2,6 GHz Intel Core i5
  • 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
  • Intel Iris 1536 MB
  • High Sierra 10.13.1

Latest versions of

  • Google Chrome
  • Firefox
  • Opera

Does anyone else have this same issue?

Thanks!

Eduardo
