does the apple pencil work on the ipad 2017 version?

Basically I want to know if the Apple Pencil is comparable with the iPad 2017 model so that I can write notes on pictures etc for university

You can get them all over, just do a search for “iPad stylus” and you’ll find all sorts of them. This is an example of one that I found just by searching.
