Macbook Pro Thunderbolt 3 ports stop working until I restart

I had a mouse plugged in via adapter to one of my Thunderbolt 3 ports on my 2017 Macbook Pro running OS Sierra, and Ethernet plugged in via adapter to the other Thunderbolt 3 port. Every few hours, I lost Ethernet connection as well as the ability to use the mouse. As soon as I restarted the computer, both Ethernet and the mouse worked again. This happened multiple times in one day, with multiple adapters. Is this a known Thunderbolt 3 issue?
