top sites keep on disappearing in high sierra 10.13

My top sites keep on disappearing in High Sierra 10.13. I get repeat of apple and apple.com.The stock web pages like google, trip advisor... etc I only need one of those. I have certain websites I want to be there. Every time the computer goes to sleep or is turned off for the night the websites disappear. Is there a simple solution to this problem. I've tried to get top site plist it just does not show up.
