what causes crash/panic call when zooming

Question

My imac 27" 2017 crashes enlarging/zooming images on the screen. Most notably in Google maps with large 3d city views, but also scolling in Safari thru pdf multi page files or  scrolling a series of photos in mail. I just installed a clean version of OSX 13.1 but it persists. If you&#x27;re renting the Mac then have the tech check it out.  It should be his responsibility to provide a working machine. On the chance that it could be 3rd party software that is causing the problem download and run Etrecheck.  Copy and paste the results into your reply. Etrecheck is a diagnostic tool that was developed by one of the most respected users here in the ASC and recommended by Apple Support  to provide a snapshot of the system and help identify the more obvious culprits that can adversely affect a Mac&#x27;s performance.

Possibly the RAM installed if it&#x27;s third party RAM. If your RAM is third  party RAM,  please uninstall and put the original Apple RAM that came with the computer back in and re-test.If your RAM is third party, did you buy it from either Crucial (as in did you buy it direct from Crucial) or OWC RAM?

You will need to find out! My recommendation is to only let an Apple Authorized Service Provider do any work, not a good idea to let even "ex Apple" people do the work, however that is of course  your call.
