Can Apple buy or exchange my old iPad?

Hi there,

I have the iPad first generation. I’d like to know if Apple can buy it from me or pdate it for another iPad.

The Apple recycle page for store credit requires an iPad 2 or newer. The trade in programs recycle through the same program (BrightStar Inc) and the credit you get is the same as the recycle program offers. So I doubt the trade in programs for iPad or iPhone will accept anything older than what BrightStar accepts for recycling credit.

They do have an Trade Up program, but I doubt they'd take such an old device.

Even if they do, you are likely to get more money for it by selling it privately.
