Please help me

Whenever the charger to my macbook pro becomes unplugged, my computer shuts down completely. I have to reset everything when I turn it back on. On a side note it has been charging for 2 days straight and it has stayed at 79%.

Hello OliviaLee123,

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities for help with your Mac. At this point, we can't tell if the issue is with the charger or the battery. I am happy to give you some steps to help you out though. First, I recommend trying the troubleshooting in the following 3 help articles:

1. macOS Sierra: If your battery won't charge - Apple Support

2. Apple Portables: Troubleshooting MagSafe adapters - Apple Support

3. macOS Sierra: If your battery's status is “Not Charging” - Apple Support
If you still have issues and can't tell if it is coming from the
Mac battery or the charger, I recommend running Apple Diagnostics or the Apple Hardware Test (depending which model Mac you have) to see if you get a diagnostic code that will provide the answer. Here are the articles to do this:

If your Mac was introduced before June 2013: How to use Apple Hardware Test on your Mac - Apple Support

If your Mac was introduced after June 2013: How to use Apple Diagnostics on your Mac - Apple Support

Thanks and have a great day.
