iPhone 5s won’t stay connected to WiFi

I own an iPhone 5s (It runs on the latest iOS) Everytime I connect it to my home WiFi it will occasionally cut out and disconnect. I’ve tried everything from resetting my router, restarting my iphone, and even talking to my ISP to see if it is anything on their end. could it just be that my phone is old or is something else wrong?

Ok, that eliminates some possible issues and does suggest the problem is specific to the phone.

You might try doing a restore via iTunes and see if that solves the problem.

If not, it may be a hardware issue and you could take it to the Genius Bar to discuss options.

Have you tried resetting network settings on your phone?

Press and hold the Power and Home buttons until the Apple logo appears.

Try using your phone on a different network and see if it operates properly. If it does, it may be that your router needs a firmware update to work with iOS 11.1. Your router manufacturer should be able to tell you if the router is certified to work with that version.
