PDF attachments in Mail not showing as Icon...

So when writing emails, I normally can attach the attachment (eg. PDF Document/ Images) and right click on the attachment and select "view as icon". Since updating to MacOS High Sierra 10.13.1, it will not give me the option to view my attachment as an icon...

I have tried highlighting the attachment then right clicking and not highlighting just plain right click, and the option still won't appear.

I have even rebooted Mail several times and this still isn't working... SOME ONE HELP!!!!!!

I have noticed the same thing, but it may not be as much of an issue as either of us think.

When I clicked on "send" anyway and then looked in my sent mail folder, the attachment

was shown as an icon.

My example is just a two page pdf with photos. When sending, I see the just first page and

have no option to "view as icon". But the sent mail shows the icon (only).

Try some testing to send it to a friend who will tell you what it looks like (non-apple).

Last I knew, my apple Mail automatically show the full attachment whether it was sent as

an icon or not.

This is a very annoying issue!!!! APPLE fix this asap please!

When entering this ”defaults write com.apple.mail DisableInlineAttachmentViewing -bool yes”
in the terminal, it will remove your company logos & other stuff that you want people to see from your message also.

The best way for me so far while waiting for Apple to fix this issue;

Step #1
Open your message, (logos will show up)

Step #2
open ”Terminal” and type this;
defaults write com.apple.mail DisableInlineAttachmentViewing -bool yes

Step #3
Include your pdf’s or pictures

Step #4
Send Email

Step #5
in ”Terminal” type this;
defaults write com.apple.mail DisableInlineAttachmentViewing -bool no
to bring back to normal.

OR

Create a folder on your computer with your documents that you want to send and attach folder to your email, it will show your pdf as icons in the folder.
