High Sierra Freezes

When I go to minimize a screen my computer freezes, whether it is a browser, mail or textedit.

I have a new MacBook Pro purchased this past March, a 15inch, 2016, 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7, so why should a new software not work?

The other night it froze so bad that the mouse pad did not respond and I couldn't do anything. I couldn't force quit, restart or shutdown, so I left the computer alone a 3 or 4 hours and it responded eventually. That was very scary for a brand new computer. What are you (Apple) doing about this? There are several complaints, when is the fix coming out? soon I hope
