How can I view an email in plain text?

Hi,

I get email that is in rich text, which is fine. However there are times when I need to view it in plain text for things like copy and paste. I cannot find any view setting that will allow me to switch back and for between the two. I believe this was possible with Snow Leopard. I know it's possible in Thunderbird.

Can this be done with Mac Mail?

Thank you

Usually, you can copy the rich text from Apple Mail, and then use Paste and Match Style in the destination application to deliver plain text.

There is no plain text view setting, unless you receive plain text, but there is a plain text setting available in Mail Preferences : Composing for outgoing messages that you create.
