But what have you tried?

Did you click on the Document toolbar item, and on that panel, click landscape instead of portrait? If you do that, the document orientation automatically switches to landscape, and remains that way in the print panel. That is the only change that I needed to print a normal portrait oriented document as landscape to my printer.

Tested with Pages v6.3.1 on macOS 10.13.1.

That's the problem with jumping to conclusions.

Your logic is "My cat is black, therefore all cats are black".

You are ignoring your version of macOS and your printer (which you thought was so irrelevant you didn't bother mentioning it) and its Printer Driver.

I have Pages 6.3.1 running on macOS 10.12.6 printing to a Fuji Xerox CP105b and Brother HL-1110, both print to landscape.

Well thanks for that Pete. I did think the mac OS may be connected. Its 10.13.1.

Sorry for blaming something without proof.

Bottom line is It still does not print in landscape.

FYI I have used the previous update of Pages and it prints correctly and also has 10.13.1 so I assume that exhonerates the OS. So is it the printer?

Well I have tried 2 quite independent printers and both will not print landscape.

So there we are

You are not alone with the problem.

Virtually every major version of Pages/macOS combination has broken various Printer drivers.

What do you mean by "the previous update of Pages"?

Be specific we can't see what you are talking about.

Have you tried printing to pdf? Which bypasses the specific Printer/Printer Drivers (which you again did not specify).

Hi Peter

It sounds like you are very learned about these glitches

For me this is the first one I have come across so this is the first one that interests me. The Apple people have been very helpful and have provided a way through while they check out my problem

As for PDF, yes I tried that but to no avail

The previous update of Pages ~ well I was fortunate I did not get around to updating Pages to 6.3.1 on the iMac and thus was able to print out the church's newsletter on that.It is 6.3

And the printers I have been using are a professional Canon. I did not install it. That was done by the company so I have no knowledge of the actual driver and then an HP Laser 1536

Trust that answers all your questions

God bless you!
