I use an Epson WF-3520 which my computer says has the latest update already. But it will not work on my iMac
with High Sierra version 10.13.1. The printer has worked fine up until now. Am I missing something?

If no luck then contact Epson's tech support for help.
Reset your printing system, as per > macOS Sierra: Reset the printing system
The instructions are the same for both Sierra and High Sierra.
