My phone isn't letting me update to iOS 11 even though I have the space for it and I'm also connected to wifi. Why can't I update it?

I am trying to update my phone to iOS 11, but I am not able to. I have the space for it and I am also on wifi, does anyone know why my phone wont update? All I get is a message that says "Unable to Install Update, An error occurred installing iOS 11." Then it gives me the option to "retry" or "remind me later" and when I press retry the same message pops up.
