Multicam Editor Freezes when using Blade Tool in High Sierra

I've been using Multicam editor forever in Final Cut Pro X with no issues. I decided I'd try updating my iMac to that latest High Sierra macOS (I was previously running Sierra). Ever since I've updated my iMac (brand new 27in, mid-2017), any time I try to use the blade tool in the angle editor, my software freezes and I have to force quit out of it.

Is anyone else experiencing these issues? Does Apple know about this problem?
