iTunes shows all iPad Pro Storage as OTHER

Hi, I have an iPad Pro 9.7" with 256gb. Today I have not been able to sync as iTunes sees all iPad storage as OTHER (yellow) even though the iPad shows that I have only used 90gb of 256 and clearly shows these as apps/docs/videos/photos etc.

Is there a way to clear this without having to reinstall everything on the iPad. I used to get this on my iPhone 6plus but not for a while.
