bluetoothaudiod crashing on High Sierra

I upgraded my Mac Pro to High Sierra (10.13.1) today, and now I'm not able to play audio through my Bluetooth home receiver (Yamaha RX-V581).

[Before you ask: I have reset the PRAM, the SMC, deleted the device, unpaired and paired multiple times]

The Bluetooth pairing works fine; both devices find each other. But when I try to select it as the audio device, it keeps reverting to the internal speakers, whether I do it from the menu bar or the control panel.

Here's the log from Bluetooth Explorer (important lines bolded):

Sometimes the bluetoothaudiod has exited/crash with signal 11 (Segmentation fault). But it always crashes with this receiver.

I was able to connect to a simpler device, a Logitech BT Adapter, with no problem. One difference between the two devices is that the Yamaha is talking with mediaremoted; for example, when I use the Yamaha remote to change the volume on the receiver, the system volume on the Mac changes as well (if they're paired). I'd be fine with turning that function off if it's what's causing the problem (it's actually kind of annoying).

Anyone else seeing this?
