Immediately stop sharing any Apple ID.
Anyone else's iOS gear that used to be on the wrong (shared) Apple ID should be thoroughly cleansed as shown here:
What to do before you sell or give away your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Then it can be re-populated as if it were a brand new device.
