Apple wallet with First Direct

I'm really struggling to add my card to my apple wallet. Every time I try to add the card to wallet I get a ‘card not added‘ message.

I've contacted the card issuer, and they’ve informed me that no requests are coming through their end.

im using an 📱 8 with iOS 11.1.2

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
