I have lost my remote. can i still use my apple tv?
lost my apple remote. I have downloaded the remote app on my phone but my apple id has changed since I last used it. How do I get access to apple tv with out the hand held remote?

The remote app doesn't use Apple ID. If you have a 3rd gen or older Apple TV then you will need the physical remote to setup the app. On the 4th gen and 4K models, you would go into the app and 'add Apple TV' and then input the code displayed on your TV
