Mail won't open at all possibly related to Mailtags

Mail won't open at all. I get a message that Maiiltags trial has ended and close it. Mail then shows the red dot with how many emails I have but the program itself doesn't open. I can't fin Mailtags to delete it. Can I delete mail and reinstall it?
