Prioritizing Wi-Fi networks on iOS devices

Why can't Apple offer a feature to allow IOS users to prioritize various wi-fi networks on their iPhones and iPads as they do on Mac OS? This will allow users to prioritize faster e.g. 5 vs. 2.4 GHz networks, or more secure networks over less secure networks to be automatically selected. If several networks are simultaneously available to the iOS device. One example is going out of range of a 5GHz network to a slower 2.4 GHz network and then going back within range. iOS should automatically switch back to the 5 GHz network if the 5 GHz network could be specified as a higher priority...
