I am using Mac Book Air mid 2012 model and MacOS Sierra 10.13.1.
Whenever I use Photos in edit mode the fan speed increases. (no problem while viewing photos).
Kindly suggest a solution.

However the Mac gets heat d and very slow. Photos app hangs. I have to force quit the app, allow the mac to cool and then I can get back to wditing photos.
Is this a problem with the app? How can it be fixed?
The mac is working harder and the processor is generating more heat and getting hotter so it needs more cooling - this is totally automatic to keep your Mac safe

I would like tk add that I did nit have problem with earlier versions of MacOS hence wondering if this problem is only with Sierra?
