Scan function on Canon printer disabled with High Sierra

Sinc upgrading to High Sierra the scan function on my new Canon printer has stopped working. I've downloaded a new driver which claims to be compatible with High Sierra, but nothing works. Any fixes?

MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2015), iOS 11.1
