How can I recover my Apple ID from a phone that I have lost?

I have recently lost my iPhone 5c which had my Apple ID logged in with, so I bought a new phone and I tried logging in with my old Apple ID but it says I need to enter a 6 number verification code sent to that phone (which is lost), so how can I recover my ID without confirming from that phone?
