Music app not launching on iPhone X running iOS 11.1.1

The Apple Music app isn’t launching correctly on iPhone X running iOS 11.1.1. When the app is launched the screen goes black and never loads. I’ve hard reset the phone, uninstalled and reinstalled the app from the App Store with no change. Every time the music app is launched the screen goes black. I’ve also tried accessing the music section under setting and choosing music causes settings to become unresponsive.

Any ideas?
