Lost iPhone 5

Good day

Is there any way other than Find my iPhone that I can trace my phone. I lost my phone and dont suspect that it was stolen. The problem is it is showing offline in Find my iPhone and I am not able to play a sound and I cant see the last location either.

My kids had the phone and they just hid it somewhere as the battery ran down, I have looked everywhere but I can't find it!

The latest operating system available to the iPhone 5 is installed on the device - I think it is IOS 10.

Please help!!!!
