Accidentally put my backup items in trash

I backed up my Mac with time machine and stored it with external hard drive. My Mac got repaired and all data has been gone. Now I’m trying to restore it with the hard drive but the remaining time went to over 100 hours(350+GB) so I give up and try to copy files manually. However I accidentally put my backup items in trash, more precisely, the whole Macintosh....is there still possible to put it back? I need to save the iphoto library, thanks!

So can you double-click the Trash can to open a Finder window showing what is in the Trash.

If you can then select one item, control-click on it, you should get a submenu with Put Back click and the file will be put back where it came from. you can also select multiple items and do the same, you can also just select items and drag them on two the desktop or on to another disk. As long as you don't empty the trash you should be able to relocate them.
