For some reason a narrow 'search the web' window appeared floating above all other windows yesterday. How did I turn this on, and more importantly, how do I get rid of it?

Yep it's "Webexplorer". Somehow it inveigled its way onto my machine too.

If you have searched this on the spotlight , press command and delete keys on the keyboard to delete the sentence , again press command and spacebar to remove the spotlight from the desktop .
Can you check if there is a "WebExplorer.app" in your Applications folder?
I do have WebExplorer.app! Where did that come from? Do I just remove it with AppDelete?
