every time my iPhone has less than 50% battery if I turn on the cellular the phone will turn off. and the battery will go from 50% to 0!
after few minutes I can turn it on again but if I unlock my sim card it will turn off again!
does my phone need to be repaired?

It does sound like your battery is at the end of its life.
I'd suggest making a Genius bar appointment at your local Apple store. They will be able to run diagnostics on your. phone, confirm that the battery indeed requires replacement, and if you so choose, arrange for the work to be carried out.
