Whoa-that’s odd. Have you zapped pram and reset the smc? If you have accidentally deleted your wifi network, you should be able to make a new one with airport utility, if you have an airport, otherwise go to network under system preferences, and see if you can create a network over wifi etc, etc... if you had a wifi password you used to login before, save it..

I've done a reset on something I turned my mac off, plugged it into the power cord then pressed shift+control+option and power button for 5 seconds and then let go all together and pressed power button which has helped in the past with the wifi hardware being unavailable but it wasn't working yesterday I tried about 7 times and then I went into the networks and followed something I guy on here said and now I can't get it back ahaha hard to explain
Sure-forget your old wifi network-using a straightened paperclip, look for small hole at rear of airport-stick paper clip in there until light on front turns yellow and starts blinking. You may have to pull the power cord out from airport for 30 seconds then plug it back in, then try straightened paperclip again. Use airport utility to find wifi capable device, then click on it once you have found it, set it up, create network, apply changes, let airport reboot. Light on front should be green. Ethernet cable should go from modem/router to 1st Ethernet port on airport( the one that looks like a circle). If using iPhone, airport should appear under wifi networks, and then you can setup using iPhone only as needed( I have airport utility for iPhone-free-may be included as part of iOS-otherwise get from App Store). I made 5 ghz network, but you can choose 2.4( more crowded though) and channel and set wpa2 password for wifi sign in. Then save changes, let airport reboot, look for green steady light on front to show all is well, then under network choose wifi, then your new network, which should show up, then sign in and that’s it- u should be done

I did what you said, zap the thing and reset the other thing, I've tried to add my wifi manually a through airport utility and it's just constantly refreshing and not doing anything? Ahh other ideas
You might also have some luck with zapping the PRAM (power down the Mac; press and hold P R Option and Command keys; power up the Mac, while keeping those keys down for four chimes).

what do i do if my wifi is saying not configured in the tool bar after ive done the reset and reboot for it all and then j accidentky deleted the wifi from network settings and it doesnt come up in the plus bar as even an option. (macbook pro)
