Previewing video in finder with space bar & trackpad skimming

Why can't I scroll through video inside preview after hitting spacebar on MacBookPro anymore? What has happened? Ever since I upgraded to High Sierra I haven't been able to use this most convenient feature. Please don't tell me apple dropped this feature because of that new LCD bar on the newest macs. That would be totally uncool if they did?
