Random switching desktops without swipe

MacBook Pro 17" keeps switching between Safari and full screen Lightroom by itself without me doing the 4-fingered swipe. I've tried quitting various apps and restarting the laptop but to no avail. It happens past 2 years with different OS and after clean install. Need help!
