Will my transaction proceed?

I have been refunded from a current product I bought because I had my old card details. I have updated the details of my new card. The product still says "Order in Progress" in my apple account, but my money is back into my account. Will my order proceed or will it cancel in a few days? I am really worried.

Also, I couldn't find the right community category for my question. Apologies for that. Any help will he highly appreciated.

If you review the order and it appears as "Order In Progress" with the correct payment information shown (you can see a few digits of your credit/debit card), then all should proceed normally.

Here is what it sounds like, but somehow I don't think this is what you mean.

  • You ordered a product at an online Apple Store in your country.
  • Your card was charged, as the product's order status progressed to "Preparing to Ship". This is the point at which your credit card gets billed.
  • You somehow received a refund, meaning Apple credited these funds back to your credit card account.
  • Presumably this happened because you canceled the order. Canceling would have involved speaking to someone at Apple Support.
  • Now, you see your order again, presumably with the correct credit card.


Since the order says "Order in Progress", you may (and should) cancel this order if you no longer wish to get this product. This would be a brand new order, and once it proceeds to "Preparing to Ship", it will bill your new credit card.

Sorry for not being clear. Here is what I meant:-

- I bought a new iPhone online and entered the card details.

- 2 days after, I lost the debit card and ordered a new one.

- While I was waiting for the new card to arrive, the amount that was on "pending" was refunded to my account. But my order was not removed from the apple account.

- I updated the new card details into my apple account as soon as I got it.

-The order still says "Order in Progress", however I am not sure whether the payment will go through or whether my order will be removed in a few days.
