MacBook Pro 2017 Bluetooth issues

If I try to connect two Bluetooth devices. In my case it is an iPhone and a Magic Mouse the bluetooth services eventually fail and neither can communicate with the MacBook. It is not possible to shutdown the Bluetooth service either

MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, 2 TBT3), macOS High Sierra (10.13.1)
