beddit and health not talking

Following moving from iPhone 7 Plus to a new iPhone X I find that Beddit no longer sends data to Apple's Health app. Both Beddit and Health show that they are connected. Beddit's settings page indicates that all configuration is handled through Health. Health shows Beddit as a source, but provides no configuration options.

Has anyone else run across this issue and found a solution? I have lots of prior data from Beddit that I don't want to lose and am reluctant to delete and reinstall Beddit.
