Email links issue with Sierra?

Since installing the IOS update all links in my emails in Mac Mail open a new browser window to the Google search page. I've looked through settings and preferences and can't seem to find anything relevant. I'm on a late 2016 MacBook Pro. Can anyone help me with this?

In cases like this, it may be helpful to test the issue in safe mode. Doing so will help to isolate the issue to a startup item. Safe mode may also help resolve the issue on its own, as it clears some cached items.

Try updating Chrome to the most recent version.
