Question: High Sierra upgrade Super Slow

I'm still trying to decide if one more day messing with this is worth the lost productivity time ($)!!

Overnight I did the "recovery" re-install of High Sierra on my quad-core iMac (late 2013) with SSD, 16 GB ram, 27-inch IntelCore i5. 3.4 GHz, NVIDIA GeForceGTX

It completed OK (I think) put me through log-in to iCloud, etc, was still extremely slow ...

Ran a scan with Etrecheck: and here's what it said

EtreCheck version: 3.4.6 (460)

Report generated 2017-11-17 09:09:03

Download EtreCheck from

Runtime: 66:07

Judging by the amount of time it took to generate the Etrecheck report and the amount of processes crashing, I'd guess there may be a problem with your startup disk. Boot in Recovery and use Disk Utility > First Aid to check. Let us know what it reports.
