ULR Link Issues with High-Sierra

Previously with Sierra I could click a known link in an email or in a pdf that page would open in Google Chrome.

Now with High-Siera 10.13.1 when I click a link in an e-mail or pdf only a blank page opens in Google Chrome.

I don't really want to set Safari as my default web-browser because I am comfortable using Chrome, which I prefer.

I'm not sure what caused this issues, as it only surfaced since installing High-Sierra.

Any ideas would be welcome.
