Cannot Save Adobe CS6 files to company server

One of my employees is unable to save files to our company server from her Macbook pro (running Sierra, 10.12) She is using Adobe Illustrator CS6 and had no problems with this until today.

She can access the server, has read and write access and can open files. For some reason though, they can only be saved to her desktop, not our company server where they need to be.

is she saving to existing folders? new folders? did she create the folders on the server or try to drag them from her desktop to the server?

How is the user connecting ? AFP, SMB, CIFS?

is she getting an error message? if so what is it?

What is the server running?

Did they bind the mac to a Windows service?

the simple solution in most cases is reboot the server, unless some idiot in IT changed something and is waiting for someone to know to call them and report an issue. You would not believe how many people I have worked with think end users have some kind of inborn instinct to know exactly who to call when they screw up and don't know the impact of their own impulses.

she can save a PDF from CS6 directly to the SBM mounted volume but not a EPS?

Are you saving through Adobe Bridge?

do you have a volume called "users" anywhere if you are?

This was a bug that has never been corrected by Adobe BTW.

does anyone have the folder open elsewhere (another host computer or the sever itself?)

if this a shared resource have everyone who is on a mac restart and not log into anything.

Have that user as the only user to log in and attempt to save the EPS directly from the application but make sure the folder/ file / window that contains the file in on the server is CLOSED from anyone viewing it on anyones desktop.

Crazy as it may sound there could be a problem with OS X previewing a document in a folder on that system or another one.

You lost me on some of that. No one else is in the file and I’m the only other Mac user (and I don’t work in her files). I’ve been researching this all week and I now believe the issue has to do with her OS. Our IT dept asked us to upgrade but she’s the only one to have done it yet. Apparently this is a known issue with High Sierra so I willl try to downgrade her computer this evening.
