Question: Previewing pictures with Quick Look is very slow (even for small / normal size pics)

Dear Community,

Previewing pictures (even 350 KB) with Quick Look became very slow recently: I get the spinning wheel for a second before each pictures.

HW: iMac 2017, Intel Core i7 3.6Ghz, 32 GB, 1 TB SSD with 380GB free space

SW: High Sierra 10.13.1. No running apps in the background.

Simple restart did not help.

Anyone with the same problem?

Would be great to hear some suggestions.

Thanks in advance,

Attila

Please determine if the same problems occur in "Safe Mode": Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac - Apple Support.

No running apps in the background.

"Monolingual" is a popular way of breaking perfectly good Macs. Did you create a backup prior to using it?

Thanks John.

I did erase unused languages with Monolingual, but that was months ago and used my mac without problem since.

Anyway, I did another restart now and the Quick View works just fine. I have no idea what the problem was.

Should it occur again I'll get back to the thread, and try what you have just suggested.
