I was listening to a podcast today (Mac Geek Gab 676) and it was suggested that "Maybe" doing a backup and restore will clean out caches and cruft. This is mostly anecdotal at this point.

If you are interested, Google "backup and restore iphone" and you will find several articles that explain how you can do this (including some YouTube videos).

DO NOT do this if you are not sure of the instructions. I do not want anyone to loose any personal data.

After updating my iPhone 6 to 11.0. (2nd update). My battery is draining fast. It’s shutting down at different charge %. I can’t make a call or take a photo. Even at 99%. The phone won’t turn back on until a charger attached. When plugged in it shows a battery outline with a sliver of red. Looks like it died at around 4%. Then quickly the white apple emblem comes on, like a reboot. When it comes up it shows the battery % approximately 4% less than when it shut down.

When symptoms are google’d it indicates that a new battery is needed. I keep thinking it might be a an update issue. I’m not sure and don’t want to buy a replacement until I get more input on this subject.

When the comment here is “draining battery”. Is this the same as my issues?
