imagen capture doesn't show iPhone photos

iPhone with 11.1.2 and mac with high sierra. I open Imagen capture, I plug my iPhone in usb, I unlock it but imagen capture shows only 3-4 pics. I tried all USB ports, I turned off and on my iPhone...nada. Of course I do not know if the problem is iPhone or IC. Nevertheless I am inclined towards iPhone as the source of the problem since the issue remains trying in my 2 different macs. ( 2011 and 2016)
