command line off the screen

on a MiniMac after updating to High Sierra the command line is off the screen. want to click on the Apple in upper left corner is a problem. How do I adjust the screen size?

reset the NVRAM,

How to reset NVRAM on your Mac - Apple Support

and if that fails reset the display to default if the monitor has a menu that allows it.

Once you have that sorted you can adjust the display resolution in the >System Preferences/Display

and if you hold down OPTION when you click scaled you may get additional resolutions to choose from
