The today menu stuck.

The today menu right beside the notification menu is stuck and the demo videos for the different thing you can do with a macbook trackpad in the settings are also frozen... i am using an early 2014 macbook air with mac os high sierra 10.13.1.. this problem isnt because of high sierra because it still persisted when i was using yosemite... can anyone please help? switching user accounts also makes it work but it never works in the admin account..

yes this behaviour persists in safe mode... and the only things that work are the night shift and the do not disturb... they work without the safe mode too... i have tried switching accounts that makes the today menu work too... and i also have a corrupt guest account.. can you help me with that too?

Nov 18, 2017 6:10 AM in response to samy9560

Since everything works in other accounts, you gotta wonder if some software you are running in the admin account is causing this. For example, maybe it's the coconut thing. A "corrupt guest account" - what does that mean? It is a strange sounding problem and hints at a corruption in your disk or your system. Have you verified the disk with Disk Utility?

The today menu stuck.
