Since having the new mac OS High Sierra, my macbook is slow, overheats and just annoying to use. Any idea on how to solve this? Would it be an option to somehow get the previous mac OS on it ?

You can revert to a previous OS but you need to erase and install. This will wipe the disk and all your data, so be sure to have a backup.
But first, you may want to sort out what's wrong. You can run EtreCheck. It is a diagnostic tool that's very useful to us in finding problems. Also it will give us further specs on your Mac. After it runs post the log file here. It will contain no personal information.
In addition to KiltedTim's excellent comment on Avira, also uninstall BitTorrent. Torrents are a great way to get adware/malware. It hides in the downloads and you'd never know it. Also, clean up the orphan files. I see you don't use Time Machine, hopefully you have another good backup.
Get rid of Avira Antivirus. That's the root cause of all your problems. Antivirus software on macOS is completely unnecessary (there are no viruses in the wild that can affect macOS).
