iphone 6 missing dictation mic with ios 11.1.2

I updated my iphone 6 last night to the most current iOS (iOS 11.1.2). This morning I noticed in the text app there is no longer a dictation mic to type out my text for me. I went into settings>general>keyboard> to 'Enable Dictation' and the option is not there, on my iPhone 6, however it is still available on my iPhone 7 plus; that still has iOS 11.1.1. Has this option been removed or is this a glitch? I'm afraid to update my 7 plus to the most current iOS.

I had the issue with 11.1.2 and still have it with 11.2. My wife has 11.1.1 and has the microphone and the "enable dictation" option in General->Keyboards. No info on the internet either. Very frustrating.

I’ve noticed the same issue. I don’t have the microphone icon, nor do I have the “enable dictation” option in settings. It’s rather annoying that I can’t fix my phone.
