Force Close an App using iPhone X

Why does it seem as though Apple is going backwards with the new "Force Closing of Apps"? Who else doesn't like the new feature on the iPhone X of having to press and hold in order to bring up recent used apps, and then having to hold an app to bring on a "red tab" in order to clear away all apps? What happened to the simplicity of Apple that everyone originally fell in love with? I'm really starting to regret selling my iPhone 6s, I hope Apple resolves these issues in a much needed update.

Doesn't bother me in the least. I've now learned how to do this quickly and it's efficient enough for my needs. But since you don't really have a question and your phone is operating as designed, if you don't like this, let Apple know by providing feedback via this link. I wouldn't expect a change, but at least you can tell them how you feel.
