Install of High Sierra on older MacBook Pro
What do i do if i attempt to install High Sierra on an older MacBook Pro - before 2004? It is attempting the install but is taking an extraordinary amount of time.

I'm surprised you got that far. High Sierra will not work in that computer.
Edit: In addition to KiltedTim's comment, How to download macOS High Sierra - Apple Support contains a list of High Sierra compatible computers.
Hold down the Option key and go to the menu and select System Information:
In the first section under Hardware check on the model identifier of your Mac and report back.
Once we know what model Mac you have we can begin to help. Also run Etrecheck as has been suggested and paste the results into your reply.
There is no such thing. The MacBook Pro came out in 2006.
The OP is obviously mistaken about what they actually have...
My error. It was produced around 2012 but don’t know for sure since I can’t access system while installation is being done.
