My phone won't turn on at all and the low battery logo won't show up. please help]

On Wednesday I was using my phone and i noticed that the speaker wasn't working. The next day i woke up and realized i forgot to charge my phone so i plugged it in and it wasn't charging, i used my charging cable on other devices and it worked perfectly. Then the phone died and i plugged it in and i was stuck on the low battery logo and it wouldn't turn on. Every now and then i would check on it and it was still low battery mode. I put it to charge all night and the phone won't turn on at all now, it won't show the battery logo at all. I tried connecting it to iTunes on my laptop but it won't even show up at all. please help
